## JEE Mains 2020 Exam Pattern

Complete JEE Mains 2020 Syllabus PDF Download contains subjects of **Paper 1 & Paper 2**. In short, there are 2 papers conducted for the completion of the JEE Mains 2020 Examination. Paper 1 is taken by the candidates who are aspiring for Engineering in technical subjects. Let us first see what are Paper 1 & Paper 2.

### Paper 1

This paper contains three subjects, **Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics **only. The candidate appears in all three subject exams in the time duration of **3 hours**. Each subject has** 30 questions each.** The candidates who appear in this paper get the opportunity to apply for the Bachelor of Technology Programmes in various streams like, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Communications, Computer Sciences, Information Technology, and Civil Engineering courses.

### Paper 2

This paper also contains 3 subjects namely, **Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test**. The timing for the Paper 1 and Paper 2 is kept separate for the candidates to be able to apply in both Paper 1 & 2. Mathematics Subject contains **30 questions** whereas the Aptitude Test is of **50 questions**. All these questions are of 4 marks each. Only the Drawing Paper has only **2 questions of 35 marks each**. Clearing this examination, the candidate can apply for a **Bachelor of Plannings and Bachelor of Architecture courses** in engineering colleges.

### Mathematics Syllabus

Following topics are included in the **JEE Main 2020 Mathematics Syllabus** for Subject: Sets, relations, and functions, Complex numbers and quadratic equations, matrices and determinants, Mathematical reasoning, Mathematical induction, Permutations and combinations, Sequences and series, Limit, continuity, and differentiability, Integral calculus, Differential equations, Binomial theorem and its simple applications, Three-dimensional geometry, Vector algebra, Co-ordinate geometry, Statistics and probability, Trigonometry.

### Aptitude Test Syllabus

There are 2 parts in the **Aptitude Test JEE Mains 2020**. The syllabus for each part is as follows:

**Part 1:**

Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials. Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build—environment. Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualizing different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).

**Part 2:**

Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms, and elements, colour texture, harmony, and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms 2D and 3D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects. Creating two dimensional and 3D compositions using given shapes and forms.

Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces, ect.), landscape (river fronts, jungles, trees, plants, etc.) and rural life.

## Weightage of Topics in JEE Main Syllabus 2020
