Jee Main Exam Number of Attempts in Earlier Version
Till the year 2018, IIT JEE Main Exam was conducted by one of the 23 IIT’s. This year National Testing Agency has announced various changes. Let us check what were the rules earlier? The candidates were given a total of 3 attempts. JEE Main Number of Attempts was counted from the year a candidate has cleared 12th Examination up to 3 consecutive years. Ans: Yes you can take the JEE Main exam after a gap of 1 year once you complete your 12th Board Exam. Though Number of Attempts will be counted from the year of 12th Board Pass.

Ans: it does not matter, NTA is going to select the marks out of the best of 2 sessions. The Session in which candidate obtained better result will be considered.
- Ques: How Many attempts are left if I gave an exam in 2018?
Ans: The candidate who gave exam in 2018 as the first attempt are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2019 (January, April) also, JEE Main 2020 (January, April).
