JEE Main 2020 | According to the news sources, CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board has relaxed the eligibility criteria for the admission in the NITs and CFTIs. On 23rd July HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal tweeted that CSAB dropped the 75% Marks in Class 12 Rule for admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. Earlier, JEE Main Exam dates have been revised. Further, candidates can once again make changes in JEE main form as the correction window has re-opened from 4th- 20th July 2020. Union HRD Minister has launched an AI-powered mobile app called ‘National Test Abhyas’ for JEE Main Mock test practice.

Earlier, NTA released the JEE Main April Application form on 7th Feb 2020 @jeemain.nta.nic.in. Now, the application process is over. Joint Entrance Examination is conducted for admissions in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. JEE Main Exam is conducted twice every year as JEE Main January Session 2020 and JEE Main April Session 2020.
For both the sessions, the candidate is required to apply separately. These dual session changes were made early in 2018, stating that the changes were initiated for the benefit of the applicants. JEE Main Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility Criteria is the basic qualification a candidate must possess in order to sit for the examination. If you do not fulfill the JEE Mains eligibility criteria, you can not apply for the JEE Mains Examination. The following are the criteria each candidate must fulfill.
- Passed Class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Institute either in 2018 or 2019. Those who will appear in the Class 12th or equivalent examination in 2020 are also eligible. Basically, the candidates appearing in the JEE Main 2020 Examination must have cleared the Qualifying exam.
- In order to apply for JEE Main 2020 Application Form, the aggregate score of candidates should be 75% in Class 12th as well as 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics each.
- There are no age limit criteria for appearing in the JEE Main Examination.

All the candidates aspiring to apply on JEE Main 2020 Online Form must be eligible to do so. Go through the official notification and then only proceed to apply for the Application Form. The JEE Mains January Session is over. NTA will accept the application form in online mode only. JEE Mains Application form for April Session was available till 12th March 2020. The candidate would be required to Register themselves for applying in the JEE Mains 2020.
How to Apply for JEE Mains 2020 Exam?
In simple words following are the steps to apply on JEE Main Application Form 2020.

Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency then follow the JEE Main website through it. Use Your Valid Email ID and Phone Number and submit these details on the official website of the NTA. Further, you will receive an automated generated Email from the National Testing Agency with the details of Registration Number and Password.
Each Registered Candidate will receive their JEE Main Login 2020 credentials after the successful registration. JEE Main Login can be used to access the Candidate’s Portal. All the important documents such as result scorecard, admit card, etc. are released and can be accessed through the candidate’s portal only. The Login Details include the candidate’s Registration Number and Password. Use these details in order to log onto the Candidate’s Portal. Click on the Application Link and submit the required details.
Online Form Filling:
Once the candidate makes there login on the Candidate’s Login Portal they can see the Application Link. Then click on the link and fill in your details. Candidates have to submit the details such as Personal Details, Communication Details, Educational Details, and Other Details. The candidate is also required to submit their choices of JEE Main Exam Centers. Once you are filling the form, check and verify all the details filled. Without verifying all the details do not submit your form.
Upload Scanned Documents:
In the official notification, it is clearly mentioned about the size and format of the scanned documents. So, candidates are supposed to scan their Passport size image and maintain it into the prescribed measurements and upload the same. The photo of the candidate must be colored and fresh. Do not submit an old photograph of yours. Also, submit a scanned copy of your signature. Both the files should be in JPG/ JPEG format.
JEE Main 2020 Application Fee Payment:
The candidate is required to pay their fees for the completion of the Application Form. Verify all the details submitted, check that scanned documents are correctly uploaded. Then proceed to pay the fee, the candidate can pay the Application Fee through Net Banking, Challan or Debit / Credit Card. The candidate would in 2 days be able to see their Fee submission status.
Print Confirmation Page:
After all the process and fee confirmation, the candidates can log in again and download their Confirmation Page. This is proof that the candidate has filled in the application form and submitted their fee successfully. The confirmation page will mention the candidate’s Registration Number as well as the Application Number. The candidate can use their Application Number along with the Date of Birth detail to Log on to the Candidate’s Login Portal.
Jee Main 2020 Exam Dates
The JEE Mains Exam Date for April Session has been released by the HRD Minister – jeemain.nic.in. NTA JEE Main January session was from 6th-9th January 2020. Appear at your JEE Mains 2020 Exam Centre along with your Admit Card.
JEE Main 2020 Application Correction
It is advisable to go through the steps properly before filling the application form to avoid any mistakes. However, in case you make a slight mistake, there is no need to worry. NTA launches a link to correct the application form. So, the candidates can correct the application form in the given time period.
Admit Card for Jee Main 2020 (April Exam)
JEE Main Admit Card 2020 is an authority letter that provides proof that the candidate is eligible to apply for the examination. The Admit Card mentions all the important details of the candidate and the examination itself. Candidates should download the JEE Main Admit Card for appearing in the examination. Without JEE Main 2020 hall ticket, no candidate will get permission to appear in the examinations. Submit your login details on the Candidate’s Login Portal and Download the JEE Main Admit Card.
JEE Main 2020 Exam Pattern
In the official notification, complete details of the JEE Main 2020 Exam Pattern is available. The candidates who are appearing for the examination must check the details before appearing for the examinations. NTA will conduct the exam in online mode except for the drawing paper. The examination of Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be of 3 hours. The examination contains 75 questions in Paper 1 and 77 in Paper 2. For each correct answer, a candidate will score 4 marks and for each incorrect response, 1 mark will be subtracted from the total marks.
JEE Mains 2020 Syllabus
The Exam patterns help the candidate in preparing for the examination as well as to maintain their time management. JEE Main 2020 Syllabus will be almost similar to the syllabus in 2019. The candidates can download the JEE Main 2020 Syllabus PDF from here and prepare for all the subjects and topics mentioned. The question papers would be based on the syllabus of 11th & 12th standard, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics Syllabus.
Jee Mains 2020 Exam Centres
While filling the application form, the candidates will have to choose a maximum of 4 exam center- cities from 264 test cities in India and 9 abroad. JEE Main Exam Center availability is based on when the candidate applies for the examination. That is a first come first serve basis. In case, the exam cities are not available for the candidate, then candidates must choose the exam centers as per their availability. The complete name and address of the allotted exam center will be available on the admit card of the candidates.
JEE Main Response Sheet
The Response Sheet is the OMR sheet of the candidate that the candidate submitted during the examination. Exam appearing candidates can visit the official website and then download the response sheet. Compare your answers and calculate your marks. You can predict the rank as well as marks using the Final answer keys. After the declaration of the result, candidates will get to know about the final marks.
Answer Key for Jee Mains 2020 Exam
National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main 2020 Answer Key for April Session on its official website. After the exams are over, various academic institute releases their own Answer Keys which are unofficial. Later in a few days, NTA releases the Provisional JEE Main Answer Key on the official website. The candidates can submit their doubts. Then finally, NTA releases JEE Main Final Answer Key 2020. The candidates can check their answers and see to it if they have submitted correct answers or not.
JEE Main 2020 Result
JEE Main Result 2020 (April) will be available on the official website of NTA. The candidates can visit the official website of the National Testing Agency and download the Result. JEE Main Counselling 2020
Joint Seat Allocation Authority conducts the JEE Main 2020 Counselling. Candidates who will clear the examination will participate in the counseling for admission in NITs, IITs, IIITs, CFITs, and others. The candidate aspiring for the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) must clear IIT Advanced to claim the seats.
JEE Main FAQs
Candidates are required to upload a passport size photo, signature, and father/mother/guardian’s signature.
Such candidates who have passed Class 12th either in 2018, 2019 or will appear in the final exam in 2020 can apply.
NTA will consider the best percentile out of the two for preparing the rank list/merit list for admission. So, if a candidate fails to score a good percentile in the 1st attempt then he has the chance to score good marks in the 2nd attempt.
For admission in IIT first, a candidate has to qualify JEE Main with the marks by which he/she becomes eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced. After that the candidate has to qualify JEE Advanced then he/she will get admission to IIT. Apart from this, a candidate should have secured 75% in class 12th.
